Halloween party giveaway - Week 2

Posted by: Angela Campbell
WEEK 2 GIVEAWAY:
This week we've got a great treat to give away for writers, courtesy of our own super fabulous Jeffe Kennedy, whose novella Sapphire was a RomCon Readers' Crown finalist and took first in the short erotica category in Oklahoma Romance Writers of America’s first annual International Digital Awards contest. The author of five published works, with more scheduled for release, Jeffe's latest novel is Rogue's Pawn, a fantasy adventure set in a magical land.

Jeffe will mentor the winner of this week's giveaway for a month, offering a three-chapter and synopsis critique, query letter critique and brainstorming session on who to query. This prize is best for work in permutations of erotic and fantasy romance.

Want to win? Complete your entries below. We'll announce the winner Monday, Oct. 15.

  3. wow, I love both prizes you have going here. Awesome stuff. It might be kind of fun to see a post on the different kinds of magics or building magic systems that withstand scrutiny :)

  6. Great giveaway gotta love fantasy stories.

  7. A suggested topic would be humor in paranormal writing. Often plot and scenes are tense and emotion-laden; well-placed humor is a great surprise for the reader.

  9. I think that along the magical systems/rules lines, a great topic would be about what rules of magic or paranormal creatures it would be absolute story suicide to break/rewrite. I won't balk at vampires that survive the sun (okay, yeah I will, but i'll get over it) but vampires that don't need blood...? That will totally lose me. At what point does it stop being inventive and edgy and start taking away from your story?
