Bring on the Fourth! Enjoy a FREE Read!

Posted by: Marie Harte
Independence Day always bring out the proud feelings for the red, white, and blue. Despite what the country is going through with a daily upheaval of ideals and attitudes, the majority of us want love, happiness, and freedom for everyone.

As a thank you to our military for their service, to good people for being decent at heart, and to romance readers for making the romance community a wonderful place to be, I'm giving away the first in my GOOD TO GO series, A MAJOR ATTRACTION.

Enjoy this sexy Marine and his lucky, lucky lady. :)

And Happy July 4th!

U.S. Marine Major Kyle Waters has recently returned home after months at sea. He desperately wants some well-deserved rest, but his pleasant dreams turn from downright sinful into a nightmare when he wakes up, his arms full of a deliciously naked and thoroughly panicked Olivia Cava—the woman he’s been fantasizing about for months.
Kyle’s scheming ex-girlfriend has maneuvered Olivia into rooming with the sexy man of her dreams. Olivia’s a professional, a career woman who finds herself drawn to Kyle, as she’s been since she first laid eyes on him. Growing up as the daughter of a career military man, she’s vowed never to get involved with a Marine. Yet Kyle stirs something inside her, and she finds herself saying yes when she means to say no.
Their life goals seem worlds apart, but love will find a way. Until Kyle’s past relationship threatens to ruin the future he has only just found with Olivia. Can the truth set him free? And can Olivia put aside her five-year plan and her heartache to forgive a stubborn Marine bent on loving her…forever?

Giveaway: Win Signed Books from Joely Sue Burkhart

Posted by: Joely Sue Burkhart

I don't think I'll ever get tired of opening up a box of my books!  This one contains a bunch of QUEEN TAKES KNIGHTS and QUEEN TAKES KING. If you'd like to win signed copies of both, comment on this post with any new habits you've implemented this year and how well that's going. I'll ship internationally!

A lost virgin vampire queen.
Two vampire knights sworn to protect her.
It’s about to get very hot… and bloody…
Ever since her mother was murdered by monsters five years ago, Shara Isador has been on the run. Alone, scared, and exhausted, she’s finally cornered in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. Out of hope with nowhere else to turn, she’s ready to end it all when two men come to her rescue.
They say she’s a lost queen descended from Isis, and they’re her Blood, vampire knights sworn to protect her. It all seems like a crazy nightmare, until the alpha offers his blood. Then she realizes she’s never wanted anything more. Except maybe his body… and his friend’s, too.
But they’re not the only ones searching for a lost queen. Shara must learn how to wield her new powers quickly and conquer her fears if she intends to keep them all alive.
How many Blood will come to the vampire queen’s call… and will they be able to protect her from the king?
For the first time in her adult life, Shara has plenty of money thanks to the Isador legacy–and she’s not alone. Daire and Rik are devoted lovers, but they know other Blood are coming. Blood who may challenge Rik for the coveted alpha spot at her back.
As her power grows, so does her hunger. But without fangs, she fears she’ll never be the queen her Blood expect. More Blood means power struggles and complications, and she has no idea how to keep everyone happy. Worse, her dreams are quickly becoming something to fear.
Moving to establish her permanent nest, she can’t stop dreaming of the king. A massive monster. Chained in darkness. Lost to madness. He roars with fury in her dreams, demanding his release.
But is he the key to unraveling her own mysterious past–or the most dangerous threat of all?

Before the Storm...of Holidays--and a FREE Book!

Posted by: Marie Harte
It's already November. This year has certainly flown by! In the U.S., we're gearing up for the Thanksgiving holiday in a few weeks, then on to the winter holidays--Christmas, Hanukkah, you name it. For most of us, that means a little time off of work. Time that can best be spent with family, or you know, reading a good book!

I don't get to read as much as I'd like since I write constantly. I find it distracting to read something in the romance subgenre I'm writing (i.e. no paranormal romance if I'm writing paranormal romance), as it can mess with my voice in my own work. Lately I've been trying to reread old favorites, and it's like settling back with an old friend. What makes it even better is if these books are in a series, so I have more to look forward to. I've been asked why I reread books, why keep them. And I just don't understand how you can NOT keep them.

Books are a treasured source of entertainment. After a quick Mercy Thompson break (urban fantasy series written by Patricia Briggs), I'll settle back into looking for some new reads for the holidays. In fact, just as soon as I finish polishing up my Christmas romance for December, I plan to delve into some fun holiday reads.

Enjoy your holidays, and as a gift, I've got two books you might enjoy.

The first in my Best Revenge series, SERVED COLD, is FREE! Get it now, though it technically releases Nov 13th along with the rest of the series.

And I've made CIRCE'S RECRUITS:2.0 GIDEON only .99 for a limited time. If you like steamy, multi-partner, rough-around-the-edges shapeshifters with a twist, you'll enjoy the Circs. Happy Holidays!

The Bride, The Groom & Me

Posted by: Janni Nell
Since this month’s theme is weddings, I thought I’d interview maid of honor Sassy Chance, from The Bride, The Groom & Me, for her views on the perfect wedding.

Janni Nell:
Welcome, Sassy. You were your best friend’s maid of honor. What are your tips for the perfect wedding?

Sassy Chance:
Number one: Don’t lose the wedding ring. That actually happened to me, and it totally sucked. Major stress. I was in serious danger of ruining my best friend’s wedding. Still, I met a lot of interesting people, when I was searching for the ring. Notably PI Devlin Fox. He’s quite hot actually. Too bad my heat’s engaged elsewhere.

JN:
Is Devlin the perfect wedding date?

SC:
Weeell, Devlin’s great, really, but the absolute perfect wedding date should be able to dance. Devlin can kill a guy with his bare hands, but when it comes to dancing…let’s just say he’s great at martial arts.

JN:
So who is the perfect wedding date?

SC:
My friend, Nicky, adores weddings. He looks great in a tux. He can discuss the bride’s dress and shoes. He dances better than anyone I know. Of course, he’s gay, but you can’t have everything.

JN:
Speaking of shoes—you work as a shoe sales clerk—what footwear do you recommend for the bride?

SC:
My preference is for something classic. A satin pump in ivory or white—round toe, medium heel. Mind you, I recently saw a totally gorgeous high-heeled peep toe with a covered platform and diamontes that would be perfect for my own wedding, if ever I have one.

JN:
Do you have a groom in mind?

SC:
Yikes, it’s confession time. I’m such a bad maid of honor. Totally in love with my best friend’s groom. I know he’ll never be mine, but sometimes I wish….(sigh) Oh, let’s talk about something else. Did I ever tell you about those bitchy bridesmaids?

JN:
I can’t wait to hear the dirt.

SC:
Listen up, but this is completely off the record, right?

JN:
And that’s where I’ll have to end this interview, but you can read more about Sassy Chance in The Bride, The Groom & Me. Now free.
