It's on the tip of a peninsula, so I'd have all that loverly water around me, plus they have TONS of music/art/writing festivals throughout the year, including Fiddletunes, so I could get my yearly doses of wild artistic energy. That all being said, I can't *actually* imagine being in only one town for the rest of my life—I sympathize with the Warders who have to make such tough decisions! Though there is some wiggle room there if the city in question happens to occupy an entire county.

(Not that I'm playing with this wiggle room in the forthcoming Bone Walker or anything. >.>)

London will take several Warders to defend properly, so that'd be a good place to be too! But I've been to Edinburgh too and having sea and mountain within range would also be cool.Angela Korra'tihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01714228621697705946noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5858828969874855814.post-79249823265621401342013-09-10T19:11:06.379-04:002013-09-10T19:11:06.379-04:00If it's gotta be a *city* and not a county... ...If it's gotta be a *city* and not a county... I think I might have to go with Edinburgh. Kilts, pipes, people from the Kalahari to New Zealand converge on the city every summer, take your pick of the scotch, the beer, the wool... and they don't look askance at things science can't explain.

London... I thought about London, there's a poem that says if you're tired of London you're tired of life, and it *is* a big place if you count Metropolitan London and not the City of London (which is actually REAL DAMN SMALL)... but for a magical person? Just doesn't have it.

Oh, the other thing? Edinburgh is a *seaport*. As in just a bit of actual *beach*, and also there's a flippin' (small, but) MOUNTAIN within the city limits (Arthur's Seat)....

This ... this makes me happy. Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
