The Bride, The Groom & Me

Since this month’s theme is weddings, I thought I’d interview maid of honor Sassy Chance, from The Bride, The Groom & Me, for her views on the perfect wedding.

Janni Nell:
Welcome, Sassy. You were your best friend’s maid of honor. What are your tips for the perfect wedding?

Sassy Chance:
Number one: Don’t lose the wedding ring. That actually happened to me, and it totally sucked. Major stress. I was in serious danger of ruining my best friend’s wedding. Still, I met a lot of interesting people, when I was searching for the ring. Notably PI Devlin Fox. He’s quite hot actually. Too bad my heat’s engaged elsewhere.

JN:
Is Devlin the perfect wedding date?

SC:
Weeell, Devlin’s great, really, but the absolute perfect wedding date should be able to dance. Devlin can kill a guy with his bare hands, but when it comes to dancing…let’s just say he’s great at martial arts.

JN:
So who is the perfect wedding date?

SC:
My friend, Nicky, adores weddings. He looks great in a tux. He can discuss the bride’s dress and shoes. He dances better than anyone I know. Of course, he’s gay, but you can’t have everything.

JN:
Speaking of shoes—you work as a shoe sales clerk—what footwear do you recommend for the bride?

SC:
My preference is for something classic. A satin pump in ivory or white—round toe, medium heel. Mind you, I recently saw a totally gorgeous high-heeled peep toe with a covered platform and diamontes that would be perfect for my own wedding, if ever I have one.

JN:
Do you have a groom in mind?

SC:
Yikes, it’s confession time. I’m such a bad maid of honor. Totally in love with my best friend’s groom. I know he’ll never be mine, but sometimes I wish….(sigh) Oh, let’s talk about something else. Did I ever tell you about those bitchy bridesmaids?

JN:
I can’t wait to hear the dirt.

SC:
Listen up, but this is completely off the record, right?

JN:
And that’s where I’ll have to end this interview, but you can read more about Sassy Chance in The Bride, The Groom & Me. Now free.
