The top 5 favorite paranormal/fantasy tropes (survey results!)

Last month, the authors at Here Be Magic conjured up numerous giveaways to celebrate the enchantment of October, and for some of those who entered, you also weighed in on which paranormal/fantasy tropes are your favorites. You've spoken, and the results are in! We had 155 answers to the question "What's your favorite type of paranormal or fantasy story to read?" and I've tallied up the top five answers. We heard everything from harpies and witches to angels and demons. So which ones are most popular (according to our fabulous followers)?

No. 5: Ghosts | Werewolves | Magic

That's right. These three themes shared an equal number of votes to come in at fifth place. And why not? They're all awesome!

Almost our No. 1 answer (separated only by six votes), tales of time traveling adventurers have sparked the interest of many of our readers.

Does this surprise anyone? Didn't think so. It seems vampires continue to retain their crown as the most popular theme in paranormal/fantasy fiction.
